I just received the Babies Furniture Set (2010) in the mail yesterday. I was absolutely thrilled when I saw that Angel_Smile had a few in her Ebay store because I've been wanting this set for a while. The Packaging for this set is absolutely adorable! I love the pink box and the detailed photos on the box.

Here is an up close photo of the dolls in the box. I wanted to show the yellow and white polka dot design that backgrounded the figures. I thought it was a sweet little touch of cute :)

I really loved the trikes. it was not hard to balance the figures on them, which I was slightly expecting. I enjoy the pale and bright mixture of colors that matches each accessory to the figure.

Now, the only thing I did not like about this set was that the small toy accessory and the high-chair is something you might see for the smaller babies. I like to think of my standing babies as toddlers, so the high-chairs and rattle toys don't really fit for me. However, the sippy cups and tooth brushes are something unique to this set that I am absolutely in love with.

here i wanted to show how similar the rattle toys are with one that I received that came with the smaller babies in the "Connor and Keri's Carriage Ride" set. I just don't see how a toddler would be playing with the same toy as a smaller baby. other than this one minor thing, I was over-joyed with this set and would recommend it to any collector.

I also picked up a set of outfits for two of my standing babies. I like it so much more when they are wearing actually clothes. and how absolutely adorable are the boy overalls?! my god, I almost died when I saw them!

while photographing, I noticed that the standing deer baby that come with the Furniture set is slightly different than the single JP standing baby that goes with the family set. the color on the girl is creamier, and the boy has more of a "golden" hue. just an observation ;)

I am so very excited. I've been looking for these JP baby outfits for over a year now, and FINALLY two sets popped up on Ebay. I also purchased the JP Babies furniture set for 2010. this is also something I've been looking for for quite some time. I know I was saving for the new Popcorn Wagon and JP Kangaroo Family, but I feel like I'll be able to buy those at any time. these however, I've been wanting for a while and just haven't been able to find them. so glad I finally did! now for the shipping/waiting game >.<

I got creative this week and made a new board with matching background in which to set up my sylvanians on. this time I used different colors for the grass. previously i used a very bright and pretty Lime Green, which i actually like better than this color. I may actually redo this and use the Lime Green this time. the Lime Green was much brighter and prettier I think. plus, I haven't seen anyone else use that color as grass for their Sylvanians before and I feel like it gave my photos a little touch of "me".

I bought a packet with a long white picket fence in it. it was originally tied together with white wire, but since that was impossible to glue down (I tried!) i decided to untwist all of the wire off that held the fence together, and tediously glue each and every plank down individually. i wasn't sure at first how good that would look, but i think it actually looks rather cute! I also bought "fluffy" white felt and used them as the clouds. they probably aren't low enough to show up in a lot of my photos, but i still like seeing them myself :)
i've been trying to hold off on creating more stories until i purchase a new camera. my old one really doesn't take great photos and i know this blog would look a million times nicer with a better camera. Mr. SylvanianLove and i have been looking at Nikons and will be purchasing a very good one sometime this week before we leave for our trip. so when we get back and we're all unpacked and settled, i'll get started on more stories and photographs.

Hello there! long time no update, I know. but as I said, I have returned. I am so pleased with the release of products in such a short amount of time. there are so many new families to choose from, and even more houses, shops and accessories. I am planning on adding a few more pieces to my collection starting next month. why next month? because in 12 days my husband and I leave for Sin City, and arrive home on July 1st. I have a bit of money saved up to purchase a few items that I have been dying to get my hands on. First, I must start with the new and very adorable JP Kangaroo Family. I absolutely love how there is a little Joey! what a way to make a family unique! and I also really like that there is no brother, but rather just a sister. As you know, most Sylvanian families have both a little brother and a little sister. so naturally I am drawn to the families that have different arrangements of children.

The popcorn stand! As soon as I saw this shop I fell head over heels. I adore the little popcorn maker filled with realistic looking fresh popped popcorn, and the little buckets are so old timey looking and sweet. I really can imagine having this in my Sylvanian village with an outdoor movie theatre (brain storming)!!!
New JP Cat Family! most have shut down this new family that's due out in mid-late July, but not I. I am so excited to see this new family and have in in my possession. Yes, it is almost exact to the JP Charcoal Cat Family, but there is just something about it that really draws me in. Maybe it's because the Charcoals are probably my most favored family, and it gives me the opportunity to expand my Charcoal family with close relatives :) Either way, I'll surely have the day these guys are released marked down on my calendar.

I have rediscovered an old love. Flower Kiss Candies. my friends and I used to eat them as teenagers, and honestly I haven't seen them around since. Although, I haven't been shopping in a Chinese market in some time. My best friend gave these to me with my birthday gift for nostalgia, and I fell in love with them all over again.

This morning I decided to set up my figures and take a few photos of all of them together. It was tough getting a close enough shot with ever figure in the frame, thus the reason they look so small (I had to step far back!). Also took some up close photos, and it took three photos to get them all in. I always felt like I had a lot of figures, but after seeing them all together, it doesn't look like a lot. which isn't a good thing because now I'll just tell myself I don't have that many and should continue buying more than my budget allows, heh.

a quick photo today with two of my babies. my son was playing with his new Thomas Wooden Rails set this morning, and I couldn't help but think how adorable two of my babies would look like the back cargo car. they do look so precious. I've missed my Sylvanians. I hadn't taken them out in quite a while, and I was missing them. I hadn't mentioned on this blog before, but the past few months I have been battling my eating disorder hardcore. it was as if everything I lived for was pushed to the back of my mind and all I could think about was my weight. but as of now I'm feeling better. I'm just trying to take it one day at a time and I'm trying my hardest to beat this and not let it rule my life. And a big thank you to everyone over at Sylvanian-Families.net who wished me well. It really meant a lot to me.

I know I normally update more than I've been the past week or so, but I've been super busy. the holidays are right around the corner, and I'm determined to get back down to 110lbs by then. so just know, if I'm not updating as much, it's because I'm out jogging or lifting weights, haha.

So I made a few more outfits for some of my Sylvanians. like I said before, since Christmas is coming and I'm trying to cut down on my collecting for now, I've been focusing on sewing. not only will it keep me from spending, but it is helping to improve my sewing, which is something I've wanted. I do have a good amount of Halloween photos to upload. perhaps I'll post them tomorrow or Wednesday.

Mrs. Whildwoods dress came out a little baggier than I would have liked. I'll probably try to re-make this dress at some point this week. I wasn't very pleased with it.

Rufus Kennelworths shirt was the first shirt I've ever sewn. it didn't come out horrible, just a tad too big. and also I wish I had some brown thread. maybe I should have used black instead or white? probably wouldn't have been as noticeable. ah well, live and learn.

Yesterday my package from Angel_Smile came. I was very excited :) since I know Christmas is coming, I've been trying to cut back on the amount of Sylvanians I buy from now on (at least until Xmas is over, hehe). This is all I've bought this month, which is a great accomplishment for me. it was hard to choose which one's I wanted most, but I think I made good choices.

I knew I had to have the winter outfits. even though I've been making some on my own, these are just too precious not to buy. Darn Japanese and their ever growing cuteness of Sylvanians!! They're going to put me in the poor house, lol.

So I purchased the Mini Shop and "New Friends" set. I've been kinda going crazy lately with purchasing school related items. They're just so cute. Maybe it's because my oldest son just started 2nd grade, and I'm in the "school-zone" thinking. The Mini Shop isn't school related, but envisioned my Sylvanians stopping by the Mini Shop on their way home from school, so in my mind, it fit :)

a few more things that I made last night and this morning in between cleaning my apartment. I really thought the blue dress came out the prettiest. The front part of this dress was originally supposed to be the back, but I thought it looked very cute in the front. I guess it could be worn either way. both dresses are made of suede material, except for the front of the blue dress which in just simple white felt.

These here are winter shawls. again, the blue is suede material. I used very fluffy white felt as the trim, and velcro in the front to keep them together.

My second attempt at sewing Darlene some clothes turned out much better than the first try. It's not necessarily my sewing that's terrible. I just can't seem to get the measurements right. but this time, it looks like I got it pretty accurate.

I've also been working on some Halloween costumes for my Sylvanians in the past few days, which include, Peter Pan, a ghost, a which, and two Vampires. The Peter Pan one is deff my favorite. I'm not sure if I'll be making any more but I had so much fun using my creative side.

My cake shop made it's way home today. I was overly excited to set it up in the new Bakery. I think my Sylvanians enjoy it. I know I do.

I just started reading James Clavell's "Shõgun". I am very much interested in Japanese culture, and this book really schools you on it. it is the first book in the novel of three. I have all three books, and can not wait to finish this one so I can get to the next.

I've always wanted the Sylvanian Cake Shop, but I absolutely do not have the money to buy it. Last night I was brain storming, and I started to look up "shoe box dollhouses" on Google. Some of them looked really nice, and since I am artistic, I knew I could make one just as good, if not better. So this morning when I woke up, I pulled out this box from under my bed. I've had it for a few years. I used to store cards in it, but at some point I threw away all of the cards. I kept the box because I was sure I'd use it again at some point or another. This is not a regular shoe box. It is a very heavy cardboard box. It's one of those boxes you buy at a Crafts store. I think they're usually used for scrapbooking. I knew this would be the perfect box to use since it is so thick and sturdy. First I used a box cutter and cut out the window and door. It was a little tough to get it just perfect, but it turned out really good. Now, I knew I wanted some type of covering over the window, to make it look more realistic; so I used clear flimsy plastic. The kind thatcomes on the front boxes of Sylvanians when you buy a complete family. that worked perfect. I cut it a little bit bigger than the window, and then glued iton. Next, I chose some wallpaper. I didn't use dollhouse wallpaper, just some pretty scrapbooking paper that I had in my art supplies I was careful to make the openings for the door and window the same size with an exacto knife before using Mod Podge to glue it on. The Mod Podge was perfect for this because it was just like using wallpaper glue when you hang up wallpaper. and it also doesn't leave those pesky moist bumps in the paper. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, Mod Podge is the shit. For the hardwood floor, I simply cut the rounded edges off of popsicle sticks and glued them down with quick dry Tacky Glue. I had toyed with the idea of painting the floor white when Ifirst started, but after seeing it complete, the wood really looked pretty with the the wallpaper, so I decided to leave it as is. Last, I started to decorate. I made a little menu out of some old gift tags I had left over from my little sister baby shower two years ago. I save everything art related, because you can always eventually use it for something. I wrote prices for the cakes, pies, cupcakes, ect. I tried to write it an fancy as I could in such tiny writing, I think it turned out pretty cute. I also made a picture frame and hung it on the opposite wall, and a magenta shelf between the door and window. Tomorrow I may look around and see if I have anything to make some curtains. I am not a great sewer, so I'm sceptical about that, but we'll see. Maybe for once my sewing will look somewhat acceptable. I also was thinking of adding a small little patio in the front for some outdoor tables. and I'd like to make some decor for the front of the shop. It also needs a "Bakery" sign, and window sills. I haven't done anything to the outside of the shop yet, but the inside looks really cute so far.

Today some wonderful Sylvanian items came in the mail. My Captain Horatio Seadog and My Mother & Brother Seadog. I was so thrilled! They are more adorable in person then I could have ever imagined. I immediately pulled them from their boxes, and snapped some photos. Now all I need is the Seadog sister, and I'll have an (almost) complete family. I've been eying one on ebay for some time, but she is quite expensive. I haven't decided wether to spend the money on her or not. She is very pretty, and I'd be so happy to complete this family, but there are other sets I have my eye on as well. I have a few more Sylvanians that are in the process of being shipped to me, Including the Limited Edition "Ready for School" set with Chocolate Rabbit sister and baby, and the Limited Edition JP Halloween set from 2009. and also some other things but I don't feel like getting into all of that.

I am currently creating a log book of all of my figures, sets, ect. so I can keep track of my collection. In the log I have included photos of each figure, release dates, purchase dates, and some other details. It's just a little something to keep me busy so I don't wind up draining my bank account on more Sylvanians *as much as I'd LOVE to, hehe*. My husband would KILL me if I bought anymore this month. I have a set limit on how much to spend every month, and I usually wind up going a *little* over. I try not to though, because we are in the process of looking for a house. Apartment living is rough when you've got two rowdy boys, two rowdy cats, a tired husband, and an ever growing collection of Sylvanians. We somehow make it work, and things run smoothly, but a house with much more room would be ideal for us. Well, we're trying to get there.

The other day I was really bored and since I have just learned how to crochet, I thought I'd make a little something for this sweet baby of mine who didn't really have anything to wear. Previously I had her wrapped up in a little piece of cloth with ribbon wrapped around it. But this is much better. She is so much happier with something pretty to wear. I first tried to sew a dress (not for her) but it didn't come out very well. I just can't seem to sew very well. I mean, I can sew...but I feel like my patterns aren't accurate and they turn out looking...not so good. Well, at least I was happy with one of the things I had made. And I'm glad too, because this little baby really needed something to wear. She wasn't too happy with the other babies looking better than her :)

Yesterday I FINALLY received my Sweets Buffet in the mail. I say "finally" because I ordered it over a month ago, and the seller took their good 'ole time shipping it. I didn't think it would ever come, but to my surprise it actually came. I was so thrilled, I opened it right away and started to set it up. I am absolutely amazing at the quality and detail of this set. The fondue fountain is simply exquisite, and the cute little coffee cups with foam and bunny designs on it have just got to be my favorite part! It certainly is going to add so much to my Sylvanian Village. I paid quite a bit for the set, but I do not regret it. it was totally worth every penny. I am probably going to make this the Charcoal Cats business. Since they are dressed so fancy, they deffinately fit this set to a T. I can not wait to really get into it and play with this set.

Today, baby Charcoal cat and baby Silk cat are craving doughnuts. They take a stroll over to the doughnut shop where they hope to find the sweets they've been craving. "How about some tea?" baby Silk cat asks Baby Charcoal cat. "Why that sounds lovely!" he replies. Baby Silk cat reaches up to grab the tea pot, but quickly pulls away when she sees the steam flowing from the spout. "What's that?" she asks amazed. "Why that means it's hot." Mrs. Hounddog steps in. "...what's...hot?" asks baby Charcoal Cat. "You don't want to know." smiles Mrs. Hounddog, "Besides, you're much too young for tea anyway." Baby Silk Cat scrunches her nose, "But my mommy drinks tea all the time. Why can she and not I?" she questions. "Tea is a grown up drink. When you are grown up, you can drink tea, but for now you will have to stick with milk and doughnuts." Mrs. Hounddog tells them. Baby Charcoal cat smiles at Baby silk cat, "I can wait for the tea then!"

I recently set up my Sylvanian village. I didn't put out everything, but I had gotten a few new things and wanted to see how they looked. I really just need a day where I have the apartment to myself so I can set up every item and really have some fun. A few weeks ago I received my Juice Bar set with Betty Blackberry (which I was stoked over btw) and couldn't wait to see how she would look selling my Sylvanians the smoothies and juices that they have been craving. They were as excited as me! Father Mouse was glad to take his son out to the new stand for a smoothie, something he'd been begging for since the stand opened. Hedgehog and Panda brother are on the Chocolate Rabbits front porch enjoying a little picnic they had set up for themselves. Chocolate Rabbit brother is inside getting some napkins since baby panda had made a mess! I really hope to take some new photos soon since I wasn't exactly pleased with these. I was kind of rushing and snapping photos as my son pulled on my pantleg :) hopefully soon I will be taking some better photos, with everything set up.

My mother recently visited from Florida and brought me some great gifts! she had told me she picked a few things up for me, but I wasn't expecting the gifts to be nearly as cool as they were. you know how when your grandma buys you a gift? you're glad she thought of you and greatful for the gift she gives you, but it's never something you would actually buy yourself; my moms gifts are usually like that. so when I opened these, I was more than thrilled. The boxes contained: Norwood Mouse Family, Norwood Mouse Twins, Panda Family, Panda Twins, Baby Love 'n' Care set, Hedgehog Family, Hedgehog twins, and Nursery Fun Time set. I am surely going to have an amazing time with these guys. I can not wait to introduce them to their village and new homes.

A Day In My Sylvanian Village

It is a hot summer day in my Sylvanian Village. Mrs. Slydale Fox is the village Day Care teacher. She watches over all of the babies while their parents work. She is kind, gentle and patient; which is why she is so good at what she does. Clement Polar Bear is stopping by the Crepe shop with Pete and baby Patrick Deer. Baby Patrick is so excited to have his first crepe. He imagines in his head what it will taste like and how great it will be. After they are done enjoying their crepes, they are going to meet up with Rufus Kennelworth. The boys will probably get into some trouble from there!
Mrs. Caramel and her oldest daughter Anna Lucia are taking their twins for a walk thru the village. Anna Lucia is begging her mother to stop by the ice cream shop on the way home, but her mother doesn't want her to have ice cream until after she's eaten her lunch. too bad Anna Lucia, looks like you'll have to wait for ice cream!
Susie Snow Rabbit is thrilled to have opened her very own shop! She wasn't sure how she would raise her twins on her own, but with the help of Mrs. Slydale Fox, she can run her new business smoothly and effectively. She enjoys providing the village with her waffles and crepes, made with her own secret recipe. She hopes to one day expand her shop, but for now, she is very happy with the lovely one she has. Susie's crepe and Waffle shop opens early at 7:00am, and stays open until 5:00pm. She is thrilled to be able to keep her shop open for so many hours everyday, and she will continue as long as her costumers allow her!

Unfortunately I do not have the space in my apartment to have my Sylvanians out on display. I have seen many peoples Sylvanian Families displays, and I must admit, I am jealous. Not only do I not have a place to display my Sylvanian Families collection, I don't even have a place to set them up when I want to play with them or photograph them. This makes me very unhappy. So the other day I was cleaning out my children's toy room, when tucked away behind a toy cabinet, I found a plain board (which used to be one of the shelves for the cabinet, but was unused). an idea popped into my head that I could use that board to set up my figures. Only problem, it was plain white and boring. I decided that since I have at least some artistic ability, so I could do something about it.

First, I got out my supplies. I have tons of paints, brushes, and other craft supplies because I often like to do arts and crafts. choosing a color for the base was easy as I only had one green in my art box. it is a Citris Lime, and I thought it would make a nice bright color for the grass. The paint I used was regular Acrylic paint.

After several coats of the Lime green, I painted pathways. this was only the first coat of paint for the pathways, so thats why it looks crappy and unfinished.
After many more coats of the brown, I put in some detail. Living in Philadelphia, I have always admired the cobble stone of the streets here downtown. It has such a old timey, vintage vibe to it, and I love that; so I decided that I wanted my Sylvanians to have the same. I also decided to put in some flowers. I did many colors of purple, raspberry, blue, pink and yellow. I painted them all different, and no two bushels of flowers are the same.
After allowing to dry for several hours, I used Mod Podge to seal it and give it a matte finish that would keep the paint from rubbing off on my figures. this was the most important step. I waited 3 hours between each coat, and applied 3 coats. The finished project I thought came out great. I now have a place to set up my Sylvanians when I want to take them out. It's not huge, but it's an okay size, and better than what I had before, which was nothing. And I had so much fun doing it :)

When I was a child, I lived in a beautiful house in Philadelphia. the house was purchased in the 50's by my grand parents, and then purchased from them in the 80's by my parents. When I think of great times from my childhood, I always picture the house and our beautiful back yard which held a gorgeous Mimosa tree. I remember playing with my Sylvanians under this tree and having so much fun. The scent of Mimosa trees is probably one of the most beautiful scents I've ever smelled. My neighbor a few blocks down has a Mimosa tree, and I can not express in words how much I enjoy walking past it in the spring, when the flowers are in bloom. it truly brings back amazing memories and fills my heart with joy. I'm not sure why I chose to write an entry about this tree. for some reason when I walked passed the tree today, I pulled off a small branch with the flowers on it, and carried it down the street with me, smelling it and remembering such great times. I always knew that once I owned my own home, a Mimosa tree would have to be a part of our yard. I want my children to have the same sweet memories brought on by the scent of Mimosa trees in their future.

I recently drove past my old home. we haven't owned it in many years, and I was curious as to what it now looked like. When I saw the house and the yard, I was appalled by the condition it was in. the tree I once loved was gone. it was chopped down and all that remained was a sad stump. the rose garden next to it was nothing but a muddy section of dead and dried weeds. and the grass throughout the yard was dried and yellow. there was a foreclosure sign in the middle of the yard, to no surprise. I was disgusted how someone could buy that beautiful house and turn it into that. I pulled my phone out and quickly dialed the number on the sign and asked about the house. it was now for sale for only a shocking $45,000. I wanted nothing more than to go straight to the bank and get approved for a mortgage so I could buy it, and return it to the way it used to be; but I couldn't. the neighborhood was in just as bad condition as the house. by my feet were dirty needles and empty bags of drugs. I shook my head and returned to my car, where I drove home with my mind and memories crying. I wanted to find the person who did this and kill them. after about a week, the memory of the horrible condition the house was in faded, but I was still left with the wonderful memories of my childhood. as sad as it is, I guess it wouldn't make a difference if the house was still in the condition that my family had left it or not. all that matters is that it was beautiful while I was there, and that it is still beautiful in my mind.

I recently ordered the Lambrook Sheep sister from a seller on Ebay. Prior I had only the Sheep mother and felt she needed a child. So a month ago, I ordered her, and sadly she never arrived. I contacted the Ebay seller, who provided me with the tracking number. USPS said she was delivered to my apartment, but she never was. After weeks of calling them and stopping by the post office to see if she had been found, she magically appeared in my mailbox this morning! thank god. I was beginning to feel like she was lost forever. And since I haven't much money to spend on Sylvanians recently, I felt like it was such a waste. Sure, I didn't spend much on her, but still, money is money. And Sylvanians are so expensive, that it would have crushed me to lose that money, and her. Well, I'm glad she showed up so she can finally join her mother at home! Her mother greeted her with a big smile and happy tears.

I have been falling more and more in love with the standing/posable babies every day. There is just something about their tiny bodies, huge eyes, and little knitted outfits that are irresistible. I now know why there are so many accessories for these adorable babies. I never understood the point of the Tea Cups or the Ferris Wheel. I thought "why would these little babies have their own amusement park?!" but now I know why, because it's friggin' adorable, thats why. I would love to add a lot more of these beauties to my collection. I'd very much enjoy the Silk Cat baby, Buttercup Cat baby, and possibly the Lambrooke Sheep baby. They're next on my list. Sadly, I haven't any money to buy any more Sylvanians, at least not for a few months. Next accessory on my list is the Donut Stand and some patio furniture. I was hoping to have some patio furniture for my Sylvanians before 4th of July, so I could photograph them BBQing, and enjoying fireworks, but that will have to wait for next year.

Baby Patrick Deer wants so badly to be able to climb on the bed all by himself, but he is still too small. Thankfully he has his big brother, Pete, to help out! "Don't worry, Patrick," Pete says to his little brother, "One day you'll be big enough to climb up on your own. Until then, I'll help you." Little Patrick smiles at his big brother as he lifts him onto the bed. He is so glad to have such a wonderful brother who helps him out, shares with him, and looks after him.

I received my primrose nursery figures about two weeks ago, and I must say, they are amazing! I wasn't going to order them, but found them at a great price and I just couldn't resist! Now I find myself wanting to order the pre school so they will have a place to learn. Their pre school outfits are so tiny and adorable, they make it hard not to love them. They are a MUST for any collector. I find myself just admiring them a lot, and wanting to carry them around in my pocket. If I had the money, I'd purchase the pre school outfits for every one of my standing baby/toddlers. Sadly, neither of these babies have parents yet, but I'll be working on it. Actually, I don't think there are any parents for the Ivory Dogs; but I'll be looking out for them. I've had my eye on the Ivory Dogs (Spotty & Stella's Swimming Adventure) for some time now, but just haven't made the purchase yet as I always wind up finding another figure I'd rather order instead. And unfortunately, I am not made of money!

Make A Wish!

The women of the Macavity Cat Family woke up this morning and decided it was a beautiful day to take a walk through the park. Mrs. Macavity has been so busy since having twins, that she barely has time to take walks with her daughter, Anna Lucia, anymore. While walking thru the park and admiring nature, Anna Lucia spots something she's never noticed before. "What's that?!" she exclaims, running towards it. "It appears to be an old well." Mother says, "If you throw a penny in and make a wish, it might come true." Anna Lucia scrunches her nose, "I have a penny!... but it's the one father gave me this morning for candy... but I could WISH for candy!" Without thinking it over, Anna Lucia tosses her penny in, closes her eyes, and yells "I wish for candy!" But to her surprise, there was no candy when she opened her eyes. "Where's my candy?" she asks dissapointed. "Well honey, wishes don't happen immediately. Sometimes you have to wait a while." Mother explains. Anna Lucia sighs, "How long? Because the last time you said I had to wait a while for a little sister, I had to wait almost an entire year!"

Greeting The New Neighbor

Mrs. Slydale Fox Greets her new neighbor, and brings her wonderful daughter along! Ms. Snow Rabbit is not only new in town, but she is a new mother as well. Maybe Mrs. Slydale will have a few tips for her on how to raise such wonderful children! Ms. Snow Rabbit has been having some trouble unpacking in her new home, since her twins are crawling now and getting into so much mischief; so Mrs. Slydale fox has volunteered her husband and son to help her out. "My husband can help you move the furniture," Mrs. Slydale offers, "and I can watch the twins for you so you can get some things put away. It's the least I can do." Mrs. Slydale is such a wonderful neighbor!

I've been dying for a way to show the world my Sylvanian collection. It's not a large collection, but I love it all the same. Each figure brings such joy to my heart. One day I hope to have a display case so everyone who walks into my house can enjoy my Sylvanians as much as I do. But for now, they sit in individual plastic bags, stored in plastic boxes until I take them out to photograph them, or just admire them. Everyone thinks I'm crazy. I'm a 26 year old mother and wife with a warped and sick sense or humor. Most things I say would be deemed "inappropriate" by others and accompanied by a dirty look. Yet, there is a gentle part of me who just wants to play with Sylvanians and not be judged. They truly make me smile and remind me of the great times I had playing with them as a child. Maybe that's why I love them so much. They bring back such carefree times in my life.
