Another New Display
Right now I am currently working on a new display for my Sylvanians. I'm hoping that this display with be able to stay out for people to actually see since my youngest son is now getting older an isn't touching my things as much as he used to. Though I still haven't figured out a place for it to stay permanently.
The bushes were so easy to create. I used fimo clay and gently molded them into the the shape I desired and baked them as directed. some were given little designs by hand, while others had the pleasure of having colorful roses glued to them with Gorilla Glue.
I have my pals over at Sylvanian-Families.net to thank for helping me out with the river. I had purchased "Realistic Water" and wasn't sure how I should go about sealing off the sides to keep the water in. But they all had some lovely ideas and everything worked out perfectly!
Heres a photo of the Toy Shop and Grocery Store in their planned place.
So, it's no where near finished yet, but it is coming along nicely and I'm so proud of it. Can't wait until it is completely finish!
And sorry for the low quality photos. I've been building the display in my dinning where there is little natural sunlight.Friday, June 22, 2012
can someone please explain to me what exactly this is about? I mean seriously, if I can't also get a can of Sylvanian Families soda (not that I drink soda at all, but still the option would be nice) then I don't want to live on this planet anymore. I'm tired of not having awesome Sylvanian Families things like stationary, jars, rags, plates, beach towels, an amusement park, restaurant, and random stores in every mall. It's not fair. What's a girl gotta do to ensure she has a steady pace of Sylvanian Families items in her reach at all times?
What's that? Move to Japan you say? Well, don't mind if I do. Got $20,000 I can borrow?

JP Kitsune Fox Standing Baby
Ahhhh! My new baby is here! I can not even begin to explain my happiness! I've been searching for this little bugger for quite a long time and I am genuinely overjoyed with this purchase.
So, have you ever gotten your hands on a specific Sylvanian you thought you may never have? If so, what was it and how long did your high... err ... joy, last?

Sylvanian Grocery Store Purchase Part II
Am I doing a second post on the grocery store because honestly, I didn't really give as much detail as I could have and I don't feel that I showed you enough photos. This really is such a large set in that it is so detailed and comes with so much! I don't think I honestly will ever get to use all of the cardboard pieces/boxes of food that it comes with, there are just that many.
I thought this was such an amazing thing about the set. I love the way that the little clip for the bread bag is shaped like a bunny.
The gallon and pint of ice cream are my favorite! especially the little pint of Mint Chocolate Chip!! If there is anything you need to know about me, it's that I only eat mint ice cream. It is more than a favorite flavor of ice cream to me, it is a way of life.
Only some of the fruits and veggies are able to be pulled from the shelves, an here they are. My favorite is the tomato ヽ(;▽;)ノ
here is a photo of one of the little shelves. Some things included are: ketchup, mayo, beer cans, wine, organic sugar, salt, maple syrup, honey, an jams.
The cold cabinet is sooo amazing! some of the things that come with it are 2 small yogurt packs, 1 large container of yogurt, 2 pints of cream, butter, soy milk, an milk.
I hope I gave you guys enough info and photos on this set (●⌒∇⌒●)

Sylvanian Grocery Store purchase
Today in the mail I received the new Sylvanian Grocery Store! I know what you all must be thinking, that I'm so awsome at saving money, right? well, I'll have you know that I only spent $11 at Target yesterday, and that is a great accomplishment for me! And also this was ordered long before I realized that I should b saving more money. Although I did cave yesterday and purchased a little something that I've been searching for for a long time, and I happened to find it in mint condition :) so I couldn't pass that up (don't judge me).
So here it is right out of the box. I love it!
There was only one thing I didn't really like about this set, and that was that in the vegetable stall, the majority of the veggies happen to be unmovable. But there is one plus to that, and it's that it cuts down on setting up time, so I guess it's not all that bad.
You know what sucks about getting your items from Japan? I have no freaking clue where half the stickers go! I'm so happy the box is detailed enough to show me where they go, or else I'd b so lost!
Omg, an look in the far right corner of the miniatures package >.< the little bear honey!!!
These stickers were the biggest pain in the butt to put on, and somehow I managed not to completely screw it up, which is amazing :)
All in all, this set is fantastic! So happy with it!
